Nymphaea is born with a beauty so rare it attracts both fascination and malevolence. Admired, desired, rejected, she comes to understand that every gaze conceals a desire to possess and destroy. To protect her, her parents sacrifice themselves and isolate her from the world. Years pass until she meets a different being, whose inner beauty lies beyond appearances. At his side, Nymphaea relearns how to love and exist.
